An Eldorado for all water fans, that is the stage between Olfen and Haltern am See.
Your route to the Hohe Mark Steig leads you along the "Füchtelner Mühle" over directly to Olfen natural pool. This is where your hiking stage begins on the Water route of the Hohe Mark Steig.
It goes through the open landscape with an unobstructed view to the horizon. The attitude soon changes: wonderful avenues line your path and there is always an opportunity to rest on one of the benches. One or the other hiking hut is also on the route and offers the perfect shelter when the weather changes.
You can enjoy the silence around you and listen to nature on forest paths, past meadows and fields.
The climb takes you in Direction Hullerner reservoir, by the way, from the jammed Stever arises. And this is where the panorama changes: Beautiful vantage points have a magical view of the lake ready for you. Be enchanted by the cloud reflections, the animal inhabitants and the atmosphere.
