Be a guest at the King of the Forests!

Who would like to get to know one of the most rustic sections of the Hohe Mark Steig long-distance hiking trail in the Üfter Mark?

Nature lovers who are enthusiastic about hiking are invited to enjoy the scenic features of this part of the stage with the mayor of Schermbeck and to get to know more about animals and plants in the Hohe Mark Nature Park. After a little refreshment at 9.00 a.m., we set off into the deer area. Over a total of nine kilometers, the certified nature park guide Berthold Große Homann tells interesting stories and interesting facts about the flora and fauna of the Üfter Mark. On the way there are small game specialties to try and district forester Christoph Beemelmanns tells the guests about the importance of "his forest" for the red deer that live here and how the forest can withstand climate change in the future.

A walking time of around four hours is planned for the hike. A normal level of fitness, sturdy shoes and clothing adapted to the weather are prerequisites for participation. The cost is € 10,00 per person including refreshments and a little surprise. In any case, please note the applicable Corona Protection Ordinance and bring mouth and nose protection and proof of "GGG" with you when you stop for a break.

The number of participants is limited to 20. Registrations are accepted at bk-hohemark@raesfeld.de.
