Opening hikes Reken - Die Hohe Mark
The municipality of Reken offers a guided hike to mark the opening of the Hohe Mark Steig: experience the green Hohe Mark.
On Saturday, July 31.07.2021, 19.09.2021 and Sunday, September 10, 3 at 12 a.m., the municipality of Reken invites you to a guided circular hike through the Hohe Mark forest area, after which the Hohe Mark Steig is named. The meeting point of the hike is at the Böckboom car park, Halterner Straße, about 2 km east of Klein Reken. The hiking route is a good 25 km, is led by a nature park guide and runs on mostly natural ground through a slightly hilly forest landscape and partly on the newly opened Hohe Mark Steig. The municipality of Reken then invites you to a drink in a local restaurant in Klein Reken (approx. XNUMX km by car from the car park). Along the route, the group encounters the Granat wildlife park, the Haltern directional radio tower, the witch beeches on the Waldbeerenberg and the white cross. Participation is free of charge, the number of participants is limited to XNUMX people.
