Sustainable hiking, simply refill.
Whether on the Hohe Mark Steig trail or one of the LandStreifer circular hiking trails – impressive landscapes, tranquil forests, expansive heathlands, and numerous beautiful rest areas await discovery in the Hohe Mark Nature Park. To ensure you're always well-supplied along the way, you'll find plenty of refill stations in the Hohe Mark Nature Park. There, you can refill your water bottle with fresh tap water free of charge – simple, sustainable, and always welcome.
Every time you refill your water bottle, you're making a small contribution to environmental protection. You're avoiding single-use plastics, reducing transport distances, and using tap water, one of Germany's most rigorously tested food products. Sustainable hiking just got easier.

How it works:
On the map you'll find all the refill stations along the Hohe Mark Steig and the LandStreifer trails. Look for the refill sticker and simply ask politely. Participating cafes, restaurants, tourist information centers, shops, and other partners will refill your reusable water bottle with tap water free of charge.
The refill initiative was launched by the non-profit organization a tip: tap eV. Its aim is to promote tap water as a sustainable alternative to bottled water, avoid packaging waste, and make free refilling of reusable water bottles commonplace. It's wonderful that this network is continuing to grow in the Hohe Mark Nature Park.
Our tip: Pack your water bottle for every hike and use the refill stations along the way. This way you'll be well-hydrated and can enjoy nature on the Hohe Mark Steig and the LandStreifer trails without a care. We wish you lots of fun hiking and many refreshing moments in the Hohe Mark Nature Park.
