WuBB - Hiking experience and bus and train

Experience the Hohe Mark Steig trail by bus and train

Hiking the Hohe Mark Steig trail is perfectly possible without a car. With our WuBB tours – hiking and bus and train – you can easily reach all stages using public transport and discover this quality hiking trail step by step in a sustainable way.

The tours connect the official stages of the Hohe Mark Steig trail with convenient bus and train connections. This allows you to reach the starting point and return home after your hike in a relaxed manner – without needing a carpool or a second vehicle.

The Hohe Mark Trail was intentionally designed to blend seamlessly with nature. Many of its most beautiful sections lead far from roads and towns, right through the diverse landscapes of the Hohe Mark Nature Park. Therefore, not all stages are directly adjacent to a public transport stop. Where buses or trains don't directly connect to the trail, the WuBB tours guide you along well-marked hiking trails – often following the familiar X-trails – to the nearest public transport connection. These extra kilometers aren't a detour, but rather offer you an even richer nature experience.

The best part: You won't miss a single kilometer of the Hohe Mark Trail. All official stages are fully integrated into the WuBB tours. If you hike all the tours, you'll experience the entire trail from Wesel to Olfen – or of course in the opposite direction – and travel comfortably and in an environmentally friendly way by bus and train.
