LandStreifer "Wild Wald Weitsicht"
High up or along narrow forest paths? Almost 12 km long LandStreifer with lots of greenery and small hills between Reken, Dorsten-Lembeck and Haltern am See.
It couldn't be greener and in some places it's extremely hilly. Anyone who enjoys the ups and downs of a landscape is in good hands here.
In a wonderfully idyllic location, at the nature park house Biological Station Kreis Recklinghausen, you start your hike on this LandStreifer. Beautifully embedded in the forest, the former "Hof Punsmann" offers all kinds of things. For example, a barrier-free permanent exhibition on the topic "My green country".
The outdoor area of the Biological Station is particularly beautiful. It is 2,8 hectares in size, with historic courtyard structures such as dry stone walls, ponds, a loam frame house, courtyard wells and cold frames. The garden area is also a teaching and learning garden. Take your time exploring everything.
You hike through the green forest to the Galgenberg fire watchtower. You should have a head for heights if you want to climb up here, because the viewing platform is 36 meters high.
If the weather is clear, you will be rewarded with a breathtaking view over the Hohe Mark. And the next attractions follow quickly: Granatberg and Wildlife Park Granat, which are located in the midst of a beautiful forest landscape.
Natural and spacious, it accommodates the different, free-roaming wild animal species. Observe and get to know is the message here. You can experience unforgettable moments, enjoy impressions of peace and relaxation.
